šŸš€ Twilio Setup #

Register for a Twilio account and login to your Twilio Dashboard.

Click on 'Get a Trial Number' and generate your Twilio number.


Admin → Settings → SMS Settings
      

Set the Default SMS Gateway as Twilio.

Copy your Trial Number, Account SID and Auth Token from Twilio Dashboard and paste them inside Twilio Settings.

Twilio Trial accounts can only send SMS to verified numbers. Upgrade your Twilio account for production use.

šŸ“² MSG91 Setup #

Register for a MSG91 account with a Transactional SMS Pack.

Important: Use the Transactional SMS pack and NOT the OTP pack.

Open Flow And APIs section and click on Create New.

Go to Account → Settings and register a Sender ID.


Admin → Settings → SMS Settings → MSG91 Settings
      

Copy your MSG91 Auth Key and Sender ID and paste them into the MSG91 Settings section.

After configuring a default SMS Gateway, additional SMS features become available.

šŸ” OTP Verification On Registration #

Enable OTP Verification to send SMS verification codes to newly registered customers.

OTP Message is the SMS template sent to users along with the generated 5-digit OTP.

šŸŖ SMS Notification For Store Owners #

Enable this feature to send SMS notifications to store owners whenever a new order is placed.


Admin → Stores → Edit Store
→ SMS Notification For New Orders
      

Store Owners New Order Message defines the SMS template sent to the store owner.

Enable 'Include Order Value in SMS' to append the order amount to the notification message.

Proper SMS configuration improves customer trust, order communication and delivery management.
